Simply put, DriDown™ represents the evolution of down insulation.  Regular down is treated with a molecular level polymer to create a hydrophobic finish on each individual down plume.  This finish allows DriDown™ to stay dry longer, loft better, and dry faster than regular down, keeping you warmer in any environment.

ELEVEN STARS!! I am a clammy sleeper. The first morning I used this bag I woke up and this it was as crisp and fluffy as when i climbed in it, I knew this was something very special. The cut is amazingly roomy for a bag of this weight. The fit and finish were top notch. This bag is truly a revolution in sleeping bags. While other companies only offer heavy, semi-breathable coatings to their shells... Dri-Down addresses the fundamental weakness of down which is the fact that it will absorb moisture and lose loft in the process. Kudos to SD... absolutely speechless!!!!

I recently returned from a trip to Hudson Bay where temperatures got down to 20 below at night. I used the a light liner bag and and the Zissou 15 and was warm throughout the entire night. (Normally I'll use a -20 bag with a liner). I feel that the DriDown insulation really enhanced the performance of the bag by keeping the loft steady throughout the night. Also, at that temperature there is a substantial amount of frost that forms in the bag as well which can affect overall bag warmth. On this point as well, I thought the Sierra Designs DriDown out performed normal down.
