First introduced in 1968, the original Sierra Designs 60/40 Jacket changed the world of outdoor recreation forever.  A proprietary mix of cotton (60%) and nylon (40%) allowed the 60/40 Jacket to blend breathability with weather protection to produce the best performing jacket yet created.  Almost overnight, this iconic piece of apparel set the standard for serious outdoor enthusiasts.

As a celebration of this revolutionary piece of outdoor apparel, Sierra Designs is recreating the 60/40 line using the same designs and materials used in 1968. Just like its predecessor, the new 60/40 Parka is 100% made in the USA. Designed in Colorado and assembled in California from fabrics milled on the East Coast, the 60/40 Parka is truly a piece of American outdoor heritage and innovation.
