This is a great jacket so far. Still testing it out since the season has just turned and its getting cold out. Went out to Vedauvoo, WY on a fairly cold and windy day. The rain was approaching as we hiked up to the top of turtle rock. Hiking up I was wearing a L/S base layer, jeans, wool socks, mid layer windstopper fleece, Jive on top and a windpro beanie. Scrambling around and hiking up steep terrain I never overheated. On top, I stayed warm while negotiating how we were going to rappel down with the scouts we were with.(10-15 wind, 50 degree temps) Fit is a little roomy for me(size medium), but not annoyingly so.(I'm 6"1', 165..medium build). I looked forward to testing this out more as fall comes!

I wore this coat while traveling in Costa Rica and it's fantastic! Both my wife and I had one and found that the coat breathed better than any other one we had worn while in humid environments. While in the Cloud Forests, we'd hike quite a bit in our Jives and we never sweated them out even though Costa Ricans don't believe in switchbacks on really steep trails. On drawback to the coat is that the cuffs on the sleeves won't close as tight as I'd like. It might be personal preference but I like my cuffs to be snug but the way the velcro is sewn on, it won't allow you to do that unless you have really big wrists or gloves on. Overall though, this coat is AWESOME and I look forward to using it on my next backpacking trip!
