Don't hesitate to try this tent even though it makes some lofty claims. It's a specialized creature, for sure, but very well designed and made. Probably best in late fall, winter and early spring as she's built for chilly, cold temps! Body heat is trapped inside while the snouts (vents) on top allow moisture to vent out. Since there's one on each side, on will draw air in while the other blows it out, creating a flow. Very creative idea! In the cold, humid air of the Southeastern US in wintertime, this tent fits the bill. Looking forward to seeing how the single wall holds up to rainstorms and will report again when more data is had. Aside from that, the individual components of this tent are all very well made and it's easily pitched / guyed out. 2 persons and gear is perfect for this tent. Go for it, you won't regret it.

We designed this tent after climbing K2. On that climb we used 3 and 4 person, double walled SD tents. To climb even harder routes it was time to add a 3 person, single walled tent to the line up. Our goal was to design the lightest weight, easiest to set up in extreme conditions, liveable, strongest and roomiest tent on the market. We tested some prototypes on trips around the world and took the production tent to Makalu (the world's 5th tallest mountain). Did we succeed: Roomiest (absolutely), Weight (beat all the competition by a pound or more), liveability (the combination of features, especially the zippered floor opening are superior), Set Up (more thought was put into this than any other feature, because when the wind is howling, getting into shelter is a life or death proposition), and strength (it survived hurricane force winds, meters of snow and was even buried by an avalanche, and is ready for more expeditions). This is the best tent, in it's class on the market.
