Sierra Designs Unviels New Brand Initiatives And Products for Fall 2007

LOUISVILLE, COLO. (January 27, 2007) - Sierra Designs, an authentic technical leader in developing innovative outdoor products including tents, sleeping bags and clothing today announced its new products and innovations for fall 2007 are targeted toward environmental stewardship, expedition camping and the youth market.

For fall 2007, Sierra Designs uses earth-friendly innovations to illustrate its commitment toward environmental stewardship. The line uses fabrics like recycled Polyester on its fleece program with the Take Two Full Zip Jacket and Bemis® PVC-free tape on its outerwear and soft shell program. Additionally, Sierra Designs has advanced its soft shell and base layer program on products like the Ember Pullover base layer by using Cocona, a fabric treatment derived from coconuts that wicks moisture and resists odor. Finally, Sierra Designs is using sustainable solvent free membranes on its DriZone 3L™ waterproof breathable products, like the men's and women's Peak Bagger, Omni/Answer Jacket and Pants.

"Our fall 2007 line illustrates our commitment to the environment and our community with the use of sustainable and environmentally friendly products and innovations," said Paul Gagner, president of Sierra Designs. "We look to significantly build on this business practice and provide our customers with reliable and ethical products for their outdoor journey."

In addition to protecting the environment, Sierra Designs has expanded its four-season equipment line to provide consumers with comfortable and a reliable home-away-from-home options during a winter trip. For example, its four-season Assailant tent comes with the award-winning DriZone™ fabric on its new, low profile, three-pole design providing the toughest components to withstand any kind of harsh weather conditions. The Cirque, Echo, Mist and Electra four-season sleeping bags use the DriZone™ fabric, welded seams, an Expedition Jacket Hood™, a zipper storm flap, as well as an internal media pocket to keep electronics from freezing in extremely cold weather.

Finally, Sierra Designs is building on its youth line of equipment and apparel. From family camping tents like the Moken and Bedouin to the latest in synthetic sleeping bags for boys and girls, Sierra Designs has designed the same engineering and technology into its youth and family camping line. For 2007, Sierra Designs has created technical pieces for kids that protect them from the elements. From full-featured outerwear shells and insulated pieces to performance tops and bottoms, Sierra Designs has put a huge amount of focus on the youth market.
