at the Outdoor Retailer Winter Market on Jan. 29-Feb. 1, 2005 in Salt
Lake City, Utah.
This season, Sierra Designs has integrated its award-winning
DriZone waterproof/breathable fabric into its entire product portfolio:
tents, sleeping bags and apparel. With its high performance and great
value, the DriZone fabric combines outstanding waterproofness with
great breathability for the perfect cohort on any outdoor expedition.

TECHNICAL APPAREL
Waterproof/Breathable Jackets:
Torrent 2L Stretch: The TS 22 Parka and TS 20 Pant provide a
2-Layer waterproof/breathable, stretch fabric in critical motion and
high wear areas where performance and durability can be maximized.
Retailing at $225 for the Parka and $150 for the pant, this category is
hard to outdo with its value and performance. Torrent V: These system
jackets, parkas and offer an improved laminate and a much lighter
fabric from the 2004 Torrent line. Ranging from $100-$220 retail, the
entire Torrent V category provides an excellent price point along with
extreme technical performance for any outdoor activity.
Insulated Outerwear:
DriZone 850-Fill and 750-Fill Down Jackets: Sierra Designs has
designed two new categories of insulated, lightweight and packable down
jackets. Made with the award-winning DriZone fabric used on sleeping
bags and tents, these jackets are intended for use in severe cold and
wet conditions. Cold Fusion Synthetic: For all around warmth without
the costs, the Synthetic Down insulation jackets and vests keep users
warm, dry and comfortable.
Soft Shell:
Radium Stretch Insulated Soft Shell: Sierra Designs has taken its
soft shell category to the next level with the lightweight Helios
Parka. Made with a fully windproof insulated Primaloft Sport™, water
resistant/breathable laminate membrane that increases moisture vapor
transmission and creates a superior level of weather protection and
breathability. This parka keeps the elements out while providing
stretch and fast wicking qualities. Barricade Soft Shell: This
lightweight technical soft shell category with fleece backing for
increased insulation provides tons of technical innovations and details
for any outdoor user. The men's Rebel and women's Fauna Jackets combine
the Torrent V waterproof/breathable fabric with the SewFree seams in
areas featuring Sierra Designs innovative Extremity Vents. These soft
shells can tackle the backcountry with ease.
Base Layers:
Alpatec Ice Expedition Base Layer: Sierra Designs is the only
company in the industry that is combining the natural fibers of Alpaca
with Microbalpaca Microfibers to supply high performance wicking and
warmth characteristics in a base layer. The tops and pants are fully
washable, super soft, lightweight, extremely warm and quick drying.
Midweight Wool Base Layer: This base layer category combines
Dri-Release Polyester with wool to create a blend that provides the

Ultralight Tents:
Mach 1: This new lightweight 3-pole designed shelter is truly like

storage and access to gear. Hyperlight 3 AST: Due to the success of the
Hyperlight AST, Sierra Designs introduced the three-person version that
utilizes all the same innovations. Split between three people, this 5

3-Season Tents:
Reverse Combi: New and exclusive for 2005, the Sierra Designs
Reverse Combi utilizes an innovative variable pole diameter system with
pre-bent pole sections allowing the x-tents internal volume to increase
