Bicycle Times - Zagori Alpine Bivy
June 19, 2012
The popular Zagori bag has been updated with the latest waterproof, breathable materials to shrug off moisture. Bivys are known for being damp inside, and though I slept with the top open, the bottom foot area still got wet, but not enough to soak my sleeping bag or to even feel it. When I woke up to a face full of rain one night, I zipped up and enjoyed the roomy head area offered by the bent aluminum pole that elevates the material off your face. Once closed, no rain got in. It also has a mesh panel you can close over your head to keep the bugs out. With its light weight and very small packing size, this bivy is a perfect choice for ultralight bike trips.
